Rough Rider Invitational

Date: October 12th and 13th

Departure: VHS, 11:30am

Return: after final race on Friday

What to Pack: sack lunch for Thursday, school work, water bottle, snacks, warm ups (including sweats), uniform, trainers, racing shoes, clothes for after race, toiletries, medicine, money. Please pack money for 2 lunches and 2 dinners.

Meet Location: Woodward Park Fresno Ca (State Meet Course!)

1:30pm:  frosh / soph girls small school

1:55pm:  frosh / soph girls large school

2:20pm:  frosh / soph boys small school

2:45pm:  frosh / soph boys large school

3:10pm:  JVgirls

3:35pm:  JV boys

4pm:  Varsity Girls small school

4:30pm:  Varsity Girls large Schoo

5pm:  Varsity Girls large school

5:30pm:  Varsity Boys large school

Timing:  This race is chip timed.  Instructions will be included in the coaches’ packet on race day. (Only enter runners that will actually compete on the day of the event to avoid wasting chips.

Results: Posted on athletic.net

Awards: Medals to the top 25 in each race division.  Trophies to the top 2 teams in each race.  Plaque to the individual winner in each varsity race.  Special award to the best overall combined boys/girls teams in the frosh-soph and varsity races, both small and large school. (Over 275 individual and team awards will be handed out during the meet) 

Snack Bar:  Located in Mt. View shelter behind check-in area

Traffic:  Teams leaving the meet early, please leave park through the BACK (Friant exit) in order to avoid disruption of races in progress. Please communicate this with BUS DRIVERS Family, Friends, and Spectators. Will help each race be smooth. Teams arriving for only Varsity races please enter through Back (Friant Exit).

Spectator Entry: Woodward Park charges a $5 fee to enter park, this is a city of Fresno fee, not a Rough Rider Invitational fee.
